Recently, millions of Demonoid users found that they could no longer access the site. When people got in touch with the head admin of the site he informed them that website is in serious trouble. Demonoid was hit hard by a DDoS attack, leading to a series of issues that will take a long while to correct.“It started as a DDoS attack but then it caused a series of issues. These issues have to be fixed before the site can come online, and it’s a difficult repair this time, there could have been one more attack from another angle, an exploit of some kind, but it’s hard to say straight away without a complete check of the whole site” the admin answers.
While Demonoid is dedicated to come to its full aura, it would take a long while before the site is running again. After most of the staff left earlier this year there is only a single person available to act on server problems, therefore progress is slack.
“Our human resources became limited in the last few months. All tech problems are handled just by me currently and there’s nobody else to take the job, I’ll fix the website as soon as possible, but it would take longer this time” the Demonoid admin answers.
For all of the Demonoid users there’s no other option apart from switching to other private trackers as this could be a long wait.
