Does Google algorithm change works?

This week Google announced change in its search algorithm which would downgrade the ranking of torrent sites. Well yes it works but only partially. TorrentFreak News did this search- when we searched “the dark knight rises download” the search results pointed to legitimate sites like iTunes, friend circle, etc. But when we searched “the dark knight rises torrent” the results were dominated by illegal sites like torrentz.
