Kim Kardashian sued for Copyright Infringement

The Kardashian sisters - Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are facing a lawsuit filed by Lee Tillett, a makeup artist from Florida. Lee Tillett claims that Kardashians stole the name of her makeup line, Kroma. The Kardashians’ makeup and cosmetics line, Khroma Beauty was launched last year, but Lee Tillett’s company already had a brand called Kroma which was launched in 2004.
"I developed the Kroma line myself, built my business through my own hard work, and took the legal steps necessary to protect it," Tillett said in an interview. "And yet I have now been forced into legal battle with the Kardashians simply because they have decided to take something that doesn't belong to them." Lee claims that Kardashians' have simply added an "h" in her brand name Kroma.
Kim Tillet is seeking $10 million in damages from Boldface Group Inc., the company that markets Kardashians’ cosmetic range.
The makeup artist Kim Tillet reportedly has sent a cease and desist letter to the company (Boldface Group Inc.) last year, asking them to stop using her brand’s name (Kroma), but they did not respond.
The three Kardashian sisters are also facing a lawsuit from one more beauty company in Los Angeles, Chroma Makeup Studio, for trademark infringement.
