250,000 Twitter user accounts hacked!
More than 250,000 user accounts of the microblogging site Twitter were hacked in a sophisticated hack from unknown hackers.
Further investigation have revealed that attackers were able to access some of the user data, including email addresses, usernames, encrypted/salted passwords and session tokens belonging to more than 250,000 users, Twitter admitted in the
blog post.
Twitter informed the affected users by sending a password reset email to those email addresses. The email sent out by twitter does not says anything about the hack.
The Twitter attack comes after the recent hacks into the computer systems of US based companies like The Wall Street Journal & The New York Times. Both companies reported this week that their systems had been hacked by China-based hackers. Although Twitter hasn't said anything about which country the hacks originated from.
