Nowadays they're selling more and more DTS cd's so I thought it might be handy to make a tutorial on how to do so.
Start ripping the DTS cd to wav in EAC, after you got the wavfiles get yourself an extensionchanger.
Here is a link:
http://www.topshareware.com/Extension-Changer-download-17380.htm
Drag and drop a wav into the upperbox and fill in DTS and hit change.
Well you got yourself a DTS file
Now to play them back in foobar2000 you need a plug in, get it here under foobar input dts dll on date 2006 - 07 -22.
http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Component_Repository
put the plug in under components in the foobar directory and you can play your DTS files.
There will be options for other players but I leave that to other members to fill in the info.
Remember this is for cd's not for dvd's, this are no ac3 dts files but wav dts files with a bit rate of 1411 kbps.
Good luck.

Foobar with foo_input_dts is great for pc 5.1 speaker set-ups
but, you will need to remove this plug-in for pc soundcard output to a home entertainment receiver with both units having toslink S/PDIF optical capabilities (pc soundcard-out / receiver-in) and playing this material in Foobar get this S/PDIF 'pass-through' plug-in
http://www.ga.cba.pl/
Follow the instructions on the link for Foobar component installation.. Done right, it works with your current version of Foobar.

Alternatively you can download a free media-player VLC below which has the DTS plug-in integrated for home receiver setup.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
When installed make sure "A/52 over S/PDIF" is 'ticked' under Audio.
Both work with AC3 as well for home receiver set-ups.
