Then you will need to download and unzip nsv_coder_standalone_04 from here http://www.scvi.net/gui.htm
When you have unpacked the nsv coder go to C:program files and copy the nsv coder to the nsv tools install directory (you will need to run it from this dir each time for it to work)
Now lets open the coder,when open you will have 4 options
Encode files
Stream files
Watch my stream
Configure
First we want configure so lets select that then click next
Here we have 3 more options
Encoder options
Header options
Shoutcast server options
we want Encoder options.
You should now have NSV configuration box open with a cmd window,ignore the cmd window
Here we have Video and Audio Processing settings
On the video side check De-interlace video and High Quality De-interlace,leave the Cropping and on Resizing leave the first box unchecked and check High quality resize.
On the Video processing side on Re-sampling audio to: I have 44100Hz , Stereo
Volume multiplier is left as it is and Output framerate is left as is.
Now lets click NSV Encoder Configuration
Now we have the NSV Encoding Configuration window open settings are as follows:-
NSV Format options Audio send ahead 0
Min/Max Sync frame interval 0/120
File header unchecked, TOC size 1024
Metadata i left blank but i would think you could put something there if you wish like dj name.
now the audio section below :-
next to Audio format there is a dropdown box,select MP3(LAME encoder)v1.01
Now we have MP3 lame encoder options:- mode CBR, STEREO
bitrate 128 kbps but you can set this to 192kbps (this is your usual streaming rate)
Quality normal
Now to the Video side,on the dropdown box select VP3 3.1(proper)
VP3 Encoding Options :- Bitrate 110kbps ( this is your streaming rate again,dont go too high if your upload speed is slow as you will throttle your bandwith,take into account the video and audio bitrate combined)
Check allow dropped frames,Quality left at 56 Check Quick compress and auto keyframe
Threshold,min and max distance is left as is and so is noise sensitivity and sharpness.
click OK on that box and the NSVenc configuration box.
Now back to the NSV coder,select Header options and we now have a Header file box,you can pretty much put what you like here.
Name of server you could put T-D radio,Genre blank,Website address blank Author,dj name if you like, IRC,ICQ and AIM blank. make sure you leave Make this stream public UNCHECKED.
Click save.
Next Shoutcast server options
This information is secret and st radio DJ's already know this information.
click save (you may have to come here to re input this info each time you stream,it happened to me a few times)
click finish.
Now back to the NSV coder
select Encode files and next
you now have 2 parts first:- Select the file you wish to encode,this is where the videos are you want to encode,
second is the destination,you can keep the default or create a new folder wherever you like,i chose a folder on the desktop just so i could find it lol
Check Use Directshow filter option and don't worry about the Encoder options button,we have already covered that.
When destinations are set click next,you should have a cmd box appear with encoding info in it,it will close when encoding is complete,when its completed you can click finish on the NSV coder box(the status one)
You will need to repeat this for each video to be encoded.
We are now ready to select Stream files and click next
Now navigate to the folder where you saved the encoded videos to by clicking find then next,you will now see the headerfile we have already covered,click next.
You will now see the Shoutcast server options we have already set,click next(you might have to close the NSV coder and re start it if a cmd box flashes up really quick,it is beta after all lol
Just open the NSV coder select Stream files,next,ect and probably re enter the shoutcast info,next and a cmd box will appear,don't close it yet!
You should now be streaming videos!! wahoo!!.
To stop the stream/broadcast close the cmd box.
Once the playlist is populated and you are streaming you wont be able to select other videos.its a done deal so requests wont be possible unless you are able to fix this,soz.
I have not really had time to play with this fully so if you find there's something to add let me know.
